Potential Cause:
Speed Mode Set in Beginner Setting (Causing a slower than expected board).
Solution:
Once your remote is powered on and paired and you've noticed that your board is under performing in the speed department, there is an easy fix. Single press the power button a couple of times. Each time you press the power button you'll notice the lights on the front of the remote cycle through a couple of positions. Each light position indicates the speed mode you are in. Try riding your board in each light position to get a feel for what each speed mode does. You should immediately see a speed increase in your set up.
