Be sure to charge your battery fully.

Be sure to charge your remote fully.

Find a good clean surface to work. (DO NOT build your board on carpet. Static shocks can kill your ESC).

Using the included foam enclosure gasket, lay it on the bottom of your deck where you'd like your enclosure to ultimately be installed. Be sure to leave enough room in-between your enclosure and trucks so your motor has plenty of room to move around as you steer your board.

Once you have the gasket in position, use a sharpie or felt tip marker to mark each screw hole on the deck. Be very careful to not move the gasket as you mark each hole as this will cause misalignment. Use masking tape to hold it down while your mark your holes to prevent this.

Once all of your holes are marked, remove the gasket. Using a drill, drill a hole at each mark all the way through the deck.

Once your holes are drilled, peel the backing off of your gasket, align it with your drilled holes and adhere it to your deck.

Once we complete the rest of the build it will be time to install the enclosure so come back to this step when you are ready to close everything up. From the top of your deck, insert each bolt into the holes in the deck and through the enclosure exposing the threads from the bottom. Secure your enclosure using the included nuts with a pair of needle nose pliers and a screwdriver.

The MBoards trucks are reverse KingPin Trucks. So the main bolts in the center of the trucks face away from each other. Be sure to add the riser pads between your deck and trucks for added clearance and vibration dampening.

Fasten the trucks to your deck with the included deck hardware.

Install the bearings into your wheels.

Before we start plugging everything in, Keep in mind how you want to route your cables through your enclosure. If you'd like to route the cables through a hole in your enclosure you'll want to drill this holes before you begin this step so you can route the cables as you plug everything in. You can also use the notch that is precut in the back of the enclosure.

This is also a good time to decide where you want your power button and charge port to be installed. Using a step drill bit, drill the 2 holes then install the button and port.

There should be 4 cables coming out of your motor. 3 of them are phase wires, and the 4th is a sensor wire. In this build, we will be ignoring the sensor wire as it is not needed.

Plug the 3 phase wires on the motor into the phase wires on the ESC.

Plug the yellow XT60 connector on your battery to the matching connector on the ESC.

Connect the power button to the ESC.

Connect the red charge port connector to the battery's matching connector.

Don't close everything up just yet! We need to be sure everything works properly. Turn everything off, wait a few seconds, then turn your board and remote on again. Does your remote pair right away? If not, you'll need to try pairing again. Are you wheels spinning the correct way? If not, take any 2 phase wires, unplug and swap them.

If everything works as expected, complete the enclosure steps to secure your enclosure.
