Adding a 2nd motor to your build adds a ton of torque, acceleration, extra traction, and a redundant motor incase of a belt failure. But 2 motors means 2 Vescs.
What cables are required to properly install 2 Vescs?
- Dual Vesc Adapter
- Used to split the power of your battery off into each of the Vescs.
- Canbus Cable
- Used to repeat your remote's signal to your 2nd Vesc.
If your remote uses the UART port (VX1 or VX2 Pro), then you'll want to use the Canbus Cable. If your remote uses the PPM Servo cable, you'll want to use the Servo Splitter Cable.
- Servo Cable Splitter (If you aren't using the Canbus cable)
- If you aren't planning on using the Canbus cable then you can use a simple PPM Servo Cable splitter and send the signal from your remote's reciever to both Vescs at the same time.
